## With the rapid evolution of AI capabilities, we no longer need Product Managers

With the rapid evolution of AI capabilities, we no longer need Product Managers — what we truly need now are Product Designers.

So, what makes a great product designer?

Great products never require users to learn how to use them. Making users learn how to use your product creates an extremely high barrier to entry.

Great product designers make the choices for their users.

If you hold yourself to extremely high standards in product design and technical stability, you should not offer users too many options.

Great product designers keep the complexity for themselves and deliver simplicity to the user.

Mediocre product designers keep the simplicity for themselves and push the complexity onto the user.

Traditional SaaS sells tools + services. Agent-native products sell know-how + performance.

When I first started using @cursor_ai, its file and code modifications were unstable. I had to constantly watch the editor, carefully review every change it made, and only dared to click "Apply" after verifying everything.

At that stage, I still needed to bring my own know-how, and Cursor was essentially selling a VS Code + LLMs tool.

But now, "Apply" has evolved into “Run,” “Approve,” and “Build.” Agent-native products have moved beyond selling tools + services and have truly evolved into selling know-how + performance.
